LETS START THIS MASQUERADE

| 1920’s GLAMOUR | THE GREAT GATSBY REVISITED

The Great Gatsby is a 1925 novel written by American author F. Scott Fitzgerald.  The story primarily concerns the young and mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and his quixotic passion for the beautiful Daisy Buchanan.  It is a portrait created around the Jazz Age that has been described as a cautionary tale regarding the American Dream.  These photographs were inspired by the book and 1920’s fashion.  Our model  is Monica Grass.

Flappers were a “new breed” of young Western women in the 1920s who wore short skirts, bobbed their hair, listened to jazz, and flaunted their disdain for what was then considered acceptable behavior.

I love this era!  I wish that more people dressed like this today.  It seems to me that it’s time for a Flapper Revival!  Actresses, such as Clara Bow, Louise Brooks, Colleen Moore and Joan Crawford built their careers on the same image, achieving great popularity.

What say you gents, gals, guys that want to dress like gals and girls that want to dress like gents!  Let’s create a fashion wave for a re-evolution of the 1920’s image today. Perhaps these photo’s will inspire you.
